This section of a citrine geode with an oval, egg-like silhouette on a metal base stands out for the natural opening in its lower part, through which the background behind the piece can be seen. The interior is covered with crystals in honey and amber tones, their warm colour linked to the presence of iron compounds, with occasional pale crystals that enliven the surface. The milky chalcedony rim and the dark, smoothly worked back emphasise the sculptural character of the form.

The colour of citrine may fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The crystals and the edges of the opening are best cleaned with a dry, soft brush.
