This calcite onyx sphere with a diameter of 500 mm brings out the natural patterning of the stone in shades of olive green, honey and cream. Layered bands and darker veins formed through the gradual deposition of calcium carbonate, while their colour is linked to the presence of iron compounds. The piece serves as a monumental sculptural form in an interior or a conservatory.

Calcite onyx is relatively soft and sensitive to acids, so only pH-neutral cleaning products should be used. The sphere requires a stable base.
