This wide, freestanding amethyst cathedral geode reveals a deep interior filled with crystals in shades of violet. The colour of amethyst comes from trace amounts of iron, while the pale chalcedony rim clearly separates the crystals from the dark, raw shell. The piece serves as a monumental sculptural form in a representative space.

Amethyst may lose colour saturation in direct sunlight. The interior is best cleaned with a dry, soft brush.
